Road Construction
Rant of the Day:
If I never, ever, EVER see another road construction cone in my LIFE, it will be not be soon enough. Seriously. Saturday night I went to Life Church in South Oklahoma City...then I went home. I-40 was backed up for at LEAST two miles. The reason? Road construction...in at LEAST two places.
It seems like every major highway in Oklahoma City has construction on it. No kidding. I especially love it when they cut four-lane highways to maybe three-fourths of a lane. Just makes things real safe all around. If you HAVE to do that, a detour is in order. Especially when there are cars parked in the shoulder. It makes it REALLY dangerous.
If you think detours are an inconvenience to the motorists, well, so are flat tires, side-swiping Mr. Car Parked in the Shoulder, angry bosses, and heart attacks caused by traffic being backed up for five miles or more.
Whew. Okay, I'm done.
Today I work at Sonic from 11 to 7. After that...sleep, wonderful sleep.
